Shoegaze Classics Vol1 is a curated collection of songs in which I design album artwork for. The genre is a subgenre of alternative rock that emerged in the late 1980s and early 1990s, primarily in the UK. Characterized by its ethereal soundscapes, it features heavy use of guitar effects like reverb, delay, and distortion, creating a "wall of sound" effect. Vocals are often dreamy and layered, sometimes obscured by the instrumentation, which contributes to the genre's introspective and atmospheric feel. So for my design I wanted to create very distorted imagery but have the text bold enough to be legible all this distortion.
